The Woking Magazine is published by Woking Borough Council three times a year, and delivered free to people living in the Woking area. We are delighted that LA21 and the Woking Local Food project are featured in the new spring 2016 edition. We’re on page 30 – did you spot us?
Woking Local Food
If you’re new to the Woking Local Food website – welcome! It’s great that you’ve found us. Have a look around, look at the food producers and retailers in our database and let us know what you think. You can also find us on Facebook and on Twitter and we love to hear from people, so do get in touch.
Are you interested in growing your own food? Finding producers you can buy food from direct? Cooking up a storm? Let us know what you’re interested in, we would love to know what you’d like to see more of.
Woking Local Food is part of Local Action 21 (LA21). LA21 is made up of volunteers and we are involved in lots of other projects including Operation Owl and Woking’s first permablitz. Get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about what’s happening and how you can get involved.
If you’d like to get stuck in to some practical conservation work soon, the Woking Biodiversity Partnership is currently working on local green spaces, including clearing laurel and holly from St Johns Lye. The next working party is on Sunday 20th March, and you can read about previous action on their blog and find them on Facebook.
